Very Sad news...

Holy Ghost Mourns Loss of Yuriy Tutko -Member of the Class of 2010

Yuriy Tutko, a member of the Class of 2010, passed away suddenly while attending a forensics tournament at Harvard University on Saturday, February 16, 2008.

Yuriy Tutko is the son of Igor and Hallie Tutko and was born on September 15, 1992. A member of the Swimming and Forensics team, Yuriy was an active member of the Holy Ghost community.

In a letter to the Holy Ghost community, President, Rev. Jeffrey T. Duaime, C.S.Sp. wrote, “I am sure that the thoughts and prayers of all of us at Holy Ghost Prep are with his family and friends. In times like these, it is important for us to remember that as members of an academic and social community in the Catholic, Spiritan tradition, we should come together as a source of support and hope for each other.”

In the coming days, Holy Ghost Prep will provide extensive support and counseling to anyone experiencing feelings of anxiety or loss over this tragedy.

In lieu of flowers, the Tutko family requests that donations be made in Yuriy's name to Holy Ghost Prep.
-------------------------------------------
For anyone wishing to make a Donation

Those of you who were at Harvard know of the tragedy suffered byTony Figliola and the Holy Ghost team when one of their students, Yuri, died at the start of the tournament. To compound the tragedy, the family is in financial straits and is in need at this difficult time to cover the attendant expenses.

For any team that feels it appropriate, a donation of just $50, made out to Holy Ghost Preparatory, addressed to :

attention Tony Figliola for Yuri and family
Holy Ghost Preparatory
2429 Bristol Pike
Bensalem , PA 19020

with any condolences would be a help. We are trying to do this uniformly accross the country to show solidarity as a community.

Those who do not know Tony or his team do not need to feel obligated, but we want to get the word disseminated to those who want to make this gesture. Between all of us, we can not only help the family, but remind Tony and the team that they are in our thoughts.

The thought and prayers of the entire NYCFL community are with his team, his friends, and his family. *****************************************************
